Built for Next-level Gaming
Immerse yourself in new worlds with the Predator Helios 300. Play on a 17” 1440p screen at 165Hz with configurations ranging up to an Intel® Core™ i9-12900H CPU. The system's advanced design complements powerful hardware with clean lines, bursts of color, and a customizable RGB light bar.
Let’s jump into the details—from cooling and overclocking to RGB—to see how the Predator Helios 300 tackles the latest generation of gaming.
12th Gen Intel® Core™ CPUs use performance hybrid architecture to supply both gaming horsepower and multitasking flexibility. They’re built to match the way you play, with powerful Performance-cores (P-cores) to handle the most critical workloads and flexible Efficient-cores (E-cores) to pick up background tasks.
This innovative design means that highly performant P-cores can crunch through single-threaded workloads to power smooth, immersive gameplay. E-cores handle other work, like running antivirus sweeps, streaming and voice apps, and programs that benefit from running on many cores at once. Behind the scenes, the Intel Thread Director4 provides real-time guidance that sends the right thread to the right core at the right time.

Predator Helios 300 configurations scale from an Intel® Core™ i5-12500H CPU all the way up to a cutting-edge Intel® Core™ i9-12900H, bringing the best of 12th Gen hardware to the table. Combined with an RTX™ 30-series laptop GPU and up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM, it provides silky-smooth gameplay in AAA hits and helps you max out your FPS in competitive online titles.
Immerse yourself in lightning-fast gameplay with a display that spans up to 17”. Display options range from 1080p (FHD) to sharp 1440p resolution (QHD), which strikes the sweet spot between visual fidelity and performance. Playing in QHD, you’ll be able to spot fine details on an enemy’s armor while maintaining a steady frame rate throughout the battle.
You’ll also see more screen, less bezel. The super-thin borders of the display mean that you get an 80% screen-to-body ratio with a 15” screen, and an 81% ratio with a 17” screen.
A refresh rate of 165Hz means that your screen keeps pace with blistering FPS. By refreshing 165 times per second, the display makes animations look smoother and helps you spot enemies coming around the corner in situations where every millisecond counts.
Finally, the IPS (in-plane switching) screen provides vibrant color and superior viewing angles compared to other LED display options.
Style counts, and the sleek chassis of the Predator Helios 300 provides both clean lines and vivid color.
The first thing you’ll notice is a front-facing RGB light bar, which is configurable through the PredatorSense app. Then there’s the redesigned keyboard, where per-key RGB backlighting provides independent color and uniform brightness for each keycap. Beyond its immediate visual appeal, this solution also results in smooth dynamic lighting and energy savings.5
Your laptop’s lighting can be as eye-catching or low-key as you want. Configurable Pulsar Lighting lets you create one color scheme to match your home office and another to take on the go.
Aeroblade fans. Effective cooling means that your CPU and GPU can help maintain peak performance for longer periods of time. That means more stable frame rates as you explore new worlds in VR or blast through co-op campaigns with friends.
5th Gen Aeroblade 3D fans represent the latest stage in cooling evolution. Eighty-nine thin blades, measuring just 0.08mm apiece, feature a bionic wing tip design that boosts air intake. Add in a refined wind guiding structure designed to efficiently cool key components while reducing turbulence, and the design leaps ahead of previous laptops.
- 10% improvement in airflow performance vs. 4th Gen Aeroblade6
- 89 blade count on a single fan
- 0.08mm blade thickness
Liquid metal thermal grease. The use of liquid metal thermal grease is another key to optimizing CPU performance and helping improve your gaming experience.
The 2022 Predator Helios 300 uses a special alloy made with gallium, indium, tin, and other materials. Designed to outperform competing thermal greases, this mixture gets printed in a thin layer between the CPU and the thermal module during manufacturing.
The result of this process is more efficient heat transfer, which helps your CPU stay cool and maintain peak performance longer.
Want to get the most from your new machine? Overclocking your CPU and GPU can help you push past factory settings to unlock extra performance.
There are two easy ways to overclock the Predator Helios 300: pressing the “Turbo” key above the keyboard or customizing your settings in the PredatorSense app.
The Turbo button is ready whenever you need extra speed for gaming. Just press it to activate the preconfigured Turbo overclock, which maximizes CPU and GPU performance as well as fan speed.
The PredatorSense button on the right side of the keyboard gives you even more options. From this menu, you can select Quiet, Default, Extreme, or Turbo presets. The Turbo option gives you the same overclocks and increased fan speed that you’d get from hitting the Turbo button, while Extreme mode overclocks your CPU and GPU but limits fan speed.
Internet. A fast, stable internet connection is key to climbing the leaderboards online. With Intel® Killer DoubleShot™ Pro, the Predator Helios 300 helps you play at your best whether you’re using an Ethernet cable or a Wi-Fi connection.
When paired with a 6E router, the Intel® Killer™ Wi-Fi 6E AX1675i card7 provides more stable, low-latency connections as you play on your home network or connect to others. The Wi-Fi 6E frequency band opens up new 6GHz channels that are unused by older legacy devices, meaning less interference and potentially smoother gameplay.
Peripherals. The right peripherals can seriously expand your laptop’s potential as a gaming machine. Fortunately, the Predator Helios 300 provides a generous range of ports.
A Thunderbolt 4 port makes it easy to connect multiple 4K monitors, power a dock to connect all your other accessories, and exchange data with a blazing-fast potential throughput of 40Gbps. Mini DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 ports provide more options for connecting monitors, while two USB 3.2 Gen 2 and one USB 3.2 Gen 1 port make it easy to add controllers, audio devices, and more to your setup.
Choosing Your Configuration
The Predator Helios 300 gives you more than one way to play, providing options for different sensibilities and budget.
Players looking for a more portable machine—or planning to connect to an external monitor at home—might prefer the lighter 15” option. It’s available in both 1080p (FHD) and 1440p (QHD) resolutions, both running at 165Hz. The 17” option, available at 1080p 144Hz and 1440p 165Hz, gives you a broader canvas for gameplay and content creation.
One of the best-performing configurations of the Predator Helios 300 features an Intel® Core™ i9-12900H CPU, an RTX 3080 laptop GPU, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 2TB NVMe SSD. Budget-friendly configurations let you fine-tune the level of performance you’re looking for: pair an Intel® Core™ i7-12700H or Intel® Core™ i5-12500H CPU with an RTX 3070 Ti, 3070, or 3060 laptop GPU.
But the customization really starts after you’ve got your hands on the laptop. The PredatorSense app lets you easily customize the look of your light bar, change your keyboard backlights, and choose an overclocking profile. A Thunderbolt 4 port lets you easily connect a dock and extra monitors to build out a truly enviable battlestation.
