Rx MAP Buffer Might Overflow in 9.8304 Gbps CPRI IP Core Variations

Environment

  • Quartus® II Subscription Edition
  • BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT

    Critical Issue

    Description

In CPRI IP core variations at CPRI line rate 9.8304 Gbps, with MAP sample rate 30.72 million samples/second, in Rx synchronization FIFO mode (SYNC_MAP has the value of 0 and the map_rx_sync_mode field of the CPRI_MAP_CONFIG register has the value of 0), the Rx MAP buffer might overflow.

When this overflow occurs, data from the CPRI link is lost and does not appear in the IQ data that the CPRI IP core outputs from the MAP interface.

    Resolution

    This issue has no workaround.

This issue will be fixed in a future version of the CPRI MegaCore function.
