What is the difference between in-system programmability (ISP) and Real-Time ISP?

Description During ISP, the design pattern is programmed into the Configuration Memory Flash block. Real-Time ISP is the ability to program the design pattern into the Configuration Memory Flash block while the MAX® II logic array continues to run the original design. Both Real-Time ISP and ISP take 4 to 5 seconds to program the MAX II device configuration flash using a download cable.
