Why can't I see the External Memory Interface Debug Toolkit in System Console when instancing the External Memory Interfaces Intel Agilex® 7 FPGA IP or External Memory Interfaces Intel® Stratix® 10 FPGA IP in my design?

Environment

  • Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition
  • External Memory Interfaces Intel® Stratix® 10 FPGA IP
    • BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
    Description

    The External Memory Interface (EMIF) Debug Toolkit will only be visible in System Console when using or instancing the EMIF design example in Intel Agilex® 7 FPGA or Intel® Stratix® 10 devices.

     

    Resolution

    To use the External Memory Interface Debug Toolkit, you should regenerate your design beginning with the design example or use the design example standalone.

    This information is documented in the External Memory Interfaces Intel® Stratix® 10 FPGA IP User Guide. 
    The information will be included in a future revision of the External Memory Interfaces Intel Agilex® 7 FPGA IP User Guide.
