Description

When you test Intel® Open FPGA Stack v2.0.0 PCIe bandwidth, you may find the PCIe bandwidth performance degradation as below:

PCIe Server

Read BW(GB/s)

Write BW(GB/s)

Read+Write(GB/s)

IOFS V2.0.0

Gen4X16

Resolution

This problem is fixed in Intel® Open FPGA Stack v2.1.0 and above.

You should upgrade your OFS version to v2.1.0 and above. What’s more, you should use the below commands to test the PCIe bandwidth:

host_exerciser --mode read --cls cl_4 --continuousmode true --contmodetime 10 lpbk
host_exerciser --mode write --cls cl_4 --continuousmode true --contmodetime 10 lpbk
host_exerciser --mode trput --cls cl_4 --continuousmode true --contmodetime 10 lpbk
