Matching Employees' Generosity
In 2019, the Foundation donated $15.5 million by matching charitable donations of US Intel employees and retirees to eligible nonprofit organizations or schools as an effective way to support communities while reinforcing our employees’ generosity. In addition, the Foundation donated $10 million in volunteer matching grants. More information on our giving can be found in the 2019 CSR report.
We are committed to empowering girls and young women. She Will Connect US connects middle school girls to hands-on technology experiences, which inspire them to become innovators and encourage their interests in technology, engineering, and computer science. Our collective impact focuses on collaborations, programs, peer mentors, role models, and makes a clear connection between technology careers and real-world applications that drive positive social impact.
The Intel Foundation helped to create the Women in Science (WiSci) program, which engages high school-aged girls around STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) skills to foster a sense of creativity and innovation. This partnership utilizes the Intel® Employee Service Corps, our skills-based employee volunteering program, and has delivered high-quality training to WiSci participants since 2015.
